RP Style Questionnaire

This form is optional--you may skip or delete any questions. To fill out your own, find the code here.

What are your favorite types of characters to play?
I really enjoy being evil! And, of course, just like many RPers, I like my characters damaged and in need of absolution.

What are your favorite types of plots or relationships in RP?
Messy ones! Again, I feel like I have this in common with pretty much everybody else: I like trauma, pain, desperation, and all that other stuff that's horrible in real life.

What's your preferred post length? Preferred thread length?
I'm pretty flexible in terms of post lengths and will tailor what I write to what my partner gives me. My usual default is probably three paragraphs or so? But, really, it's so dependent on what's important based on the particular context of the thread and characters. Same with the thread length: How long of a thread makes sense for the particular context? That's the length I want.

How often do you post?
I usually get in at least a few posts each day, but sometimes I'm out of town or super overloaded with life stuff, and then I post in the hiatus thread and do my best to get back as soon as possible.

How long should a writing partner wait before nudging you to respond to a thread?
I don't usually respond terribly well to nudging, so I don't really do any of it. If I haven't responded yet, it's an issue of time and/or headspace.

How do you feel about rapidfire?
It's not something I can frequently manage, but when I'm able, I can hit it pretty hard. If it's a new thread that we just came up with an amazing idea for and my brain isn't leaking out my ear, I can do rapidfire ... but then I neglect my other threads. :/ It's sort of a give-and-take thing.

How do you feel about group threads?
I like group threads! Of course, they can get funky at times because people have different time availabilities and all that, but they can be really awesome. I feel like they're the same as one-on-ones: sometimes they're awesome and working really well, and other times they fall flat and get weird.

How much pre-planning vs. spontaneity do you like in your plots? Do you prefer to stick to the script or to deal with surprise curveballs?
Surprise curveballs are fun as long as they make sense! I don't feel that pre-planning is a necessity, but I think a certain amount of it tends to happen just in random conversation with the other writers. Again, as with most of my answers, I'm pretty flexible on this front.

What's your comfort level regarding graphic scenes w/ violence, drug use, sex, etc? Any limits?
I don't really have any limits, but I will have an emotional reaction to what I'm writing and there's nothing wrong with that. So if I'm like OMG I'M CRYING, don't feel guilty! I'm trying to tell you that I'm grooving on what we're writing.

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you love?
Openness with other writers in terms of what is acceptable/desired

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you avoid?
Mind-reading and GMing big things without asking permission

Is there anything else you'd like your writing partners to know about you?
I LOVE YOUUUUU AND I WILL NEVER JUDGE YOU FOR YOUR RP BOUNDARIES!

DRARRY: Who tops?
They switch off!
