HISTORY
Jackie was an only child for ten years. You'd think she'd have been spoiled, or resentful when her siblings came along, but mostly she was just lonely. Her parents both had prominent jobs and so she spent a lot of time with her magical (literally) grandmother, who taught her many things before there was even a sign of Jackie's own magic.

Eventually, her parents gave her a sister, Yvonne. Jackie was enchanted, and quite far from being jealous, she took her responsibilities as a big sister seriously. She only got a year with the new baby, however, before she went to Hogwarts, where she was sorted into Gryffindor and overall quite happy with it.

Jackie didn't always have the highest marks, because she had a propensity for finding trouble. She was smart, though, and always managed to catch up before things got too bad. This led to a lot of late night cram sessions, and it was at one of those that she had her first vision. It wasn't anything of significance, but she found it disconcerting.

She went home for summers, always surprised at how big baby Yvonne was getting, until she wasn't a baby but a toddler, and then a child. And then there were other siblings, but Jackie never felt as close to them, considering how much older she was.

When she graduated Hogwarts, the first war was just starting, and given that her parents were both in law enforcement, it was no surprise to anyone when she joined the Aurors. She worked hard and was talented, finding in herself a passion for the work and for bringing justice. She hadn't been there long when she met Nathan Gravel- and disliked him right away.

Of course, life being as unpredictable as it was, her dislike for Nathan turned into something else, and eventually they were married. The war ended in due course, and the family relocated to America to raise their children (two biological and two adopted). In America, Jackie opened a magic shop and sold herbs and potions and read tarot cards and tea leaves. It was a bit of fun for her, and while some things she traded on were old wives' tales, she used enough real magic to gain enough customers to make real money.

Her marriage at times felt less successful, however. She loved Nathan, but there were times when she felt his attention wander. She focused on their children as much as possible, but it still hurt. She had an affair of her own, thinking it would make her feel better, but in the end it only served to remind her of how much she loved Nathan. She broke it off, though she's never said a word about it.

Eventually they moved back to Britain, and rather than take up her old job as an Auror, she re-opened her shop in Diagon Alley. They were just in time for the second war, and she used her shop to hide muggleborns and help smuggle them to safety. She had a few run-ins with death eaters during that time, but her training served her well, though the loss in merchandise was regrettable. She did her best to keep people safe - particularly their own children, whom she was incredibly proud of.

Since the war's end, she's settled into a routine at the shop and at home, and still finds time for her children and her husband whenever she can. Despite their youthful indiscretions, she loves him and their family more than anything. She's also happy to be closer to her sister, Yvonne, and her children, as well as her other siblings and assorted family.
