RP Style Questionnaire

This form is optional--you may skip or delete any questions. To fill out your own, find the code here.

What are your favorite types of characters to play?
I like a variety of different characters, but I cannot get into the mindset of abusive/sadistic roles easily. My absolute favorite characters that I've created are a spastic, hyperactive, homosexual auror, an energetic, extremely friendly, hyperactive, potions failure Prince girl, and an abused, compassionate, caring ward of a king. Though, I do love my Slytherin, brooding, emotionally constipated teenage boy, just as much.

What are your favorite types of plots or relationships in RP?
I have a few. I like hilariously silly threads, romantic threads, and abusive/traumatic threads. Give my characters some happy moments, steal those away with trauma and sadness, and then let them recover with their S.O. Sounds like a perfect series of threads to me.

What's your preferred post length? Preferred thread length?
I tend to post anywhere from 250-350 words, but I do go shorter, especially when my brain cannot function enough to write more D:
My longest post IC was actually over 1000 words, and I was extremely ashamed afterwards because it was in response to a post of 500 words. Sometimes, I get carried away. And sometimes, my brain cannot piece together more than ten words (though I will always try and give multiple things to reply to in a post. Don't worry about that, lovelies).

How often do you post?
I try to post every other day at the most, but it does sometimes get a few days longer. Sometimes, I post every day. It just varies based on what life is like, but it should be consistent starting in September.

How long should a writing partner wait before nudging you to respond to a thread?
A week. I'll probably freak out once I realize I missed a post and try and respond immediately. But do not fret, I always respond eventually!

How do you feel about rapidfire?
If by rapidfire, you mean quick replies, then I'm all for it! It helps me stay in the character's mindset. If you mean one line replies, I'm not super excited about that because I like to read character's thoughts! The way they feel about things! It's all in the details man. But a few lines are fine.

How do you feel about group threads?
As long as everyone involved is invested and the thread doesn't come to a grinding halt, I'm all for them! But probably not more than six characters, because then there gets to be too much going on for my brain to keep track of everything. I'm easily distracted. And I've had bad group threads before.

How much pre-planning vs. spontaneity do you like in your plots? Do you prefer to stick to the script or to deal with surprise curveballs?
Surprises are the fun of roleplaying! I like generic ideas that we flesh out by posting, or general timelines for characters, but the small surprises and spontaneity are the best parts! It's all about the surprises another person will throw your way and how you adjust your responses to them.

What's your comfort level regarding graphic scenes w/ violence, drug use, sex, etc? Any limits?
I like to be informed of sudden changes regarding my characters well-being and anything involving pain. That way, I can come up with appropriate responses in a timely fashion. I'm basically okay with anything; just give me a heads up before you do it, just in case.

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you love?
I love plotting. Random plots. Give me all of them. All the tropes! I want coffee shoppe, college, random meetings in stores, EVERYTHING!

What are some RP habits/styles/etc. that you avoid?
One thing I cannot stand are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors in posts. I've threaded with some people before who had really terrible English skills and, despite other people trying to help, didn't care to develop their skills with English so they could be a better writer. But I doubt that's a problem here! :)

Is there anything else you'd like your writing partners to know about you?
Uh. This really IS the dating app question, isn't it? Just ask me, I guess. I'll plot with just about everyone; I don't discriminate.

DRARRY: Who tops?
They switch. It depends on their moods each day. But usually Draco because he's a controlling, beautiful, drama King.
